Kate did a mandala in watercolour...not a classic Indian one but a version of, circle-in-a-square with a rainbow ribbon winding through: I'm calling it Rainbow Breath.
I regularly draw mandalas as a way of releasing creativity in a meditative way: and also to freely use art materials so as to stay loose and in practice with them.
Doing something creative every day for a month will be quite a challenge...but well worth it!
I like that. I love rainbow colours. It looks like a river and also reminds me of rainbow serpents. I don't much about mandalas - I must read up on them. I have always found loosely experimenting with art materials - pencils, pastels and paint - quite difficult. Any art of that sort I have done is usually quite tight and "clenched" for want of a better word. Which is probably what drew me to calligraphy and why doing pottery was good for me!
